The Soul Street Future Leaders Scholarship

Soul Street is committed to investing in the next generation of leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs by awarding a total of $20,000 in scholarships over four academic years. These scholarship funds will be distributed among multiple recipients, allowing Soul Street to support several students throughout the life of the program.

Scholarship award amounts may vary and will be determined annually based on available funding, the applicant pool, and the number of recipients selected. The total commitment of the program is $20,000.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for a Soul Street Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be currently enrolled full-time or part-time in an accredited college or university in the United States or be an incoming college student who has been accepted to an accredited institution.

• Demonstrate leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, community involvement, or a commitment to making a positive impact within their community.

• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).

• Submit a well-written essay (500–750 words) describing their educational goals, leadership experiences, community involvement, entrepreneurial aspirations (if applicable), and how receiving this scholarship will support their future endeavors.

• Provide at least one letter of recommendation from a faculty member, advisor, employer, mentor, or community leader who can speak to the applicant's character, achievements, and potential.

• Be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa.

• Agree to have their name, photo, and scholarship story used for promotional purposes by Soul Street if selected as a scholarship recipient.

Scholarship Commitment

Soul Street has committed a total of $20,000 in scholarship funding, which will be awarded over four academic years. The scholarship fund will be divided among multiple recipients, with award amounts and the number of scholarship recipients determined annually.

Legal Statement and Terms & Conditions

By submitting an application for the Soul Street Scholarship Program, the applicant certifies that all information provided is complete, accurate, and truthful to the best of their knowledge. Soul Street reserves the right to verify any information submitted as part of the application process. Any false statements, omissions, or misrepresentations may result in immediate disqualification or the revocation of a scholarship award.

Applicants acknowledge that scholarship awards are competitive and are not guaranteed. Submission of an application does not create any contractual or legal right to receive scholarship funding. All scholarship selections are made at the sole and absolute discretion of Soul Street, and all decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

By applying, applicants grant Soul Street and its affiliated partners permission to use their name, likeness, photograph, biographical information, submitted essays, video submissions (if applicable), and scholarship-related materials for promotional, marketing, public relations, fundraising, and educational purposes without additional compensation, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Such use may include, but is not limited to, Soul Street's website, social media platforms, press releases, event materials, and other marketing communications.

Applicants agree that Soul Street may contact them via email, telephone, or other provided contact information regarding their application, scholarship status, award notifications, or other scholarship-related communications.

Scholarship recipients may be required to provide additional documentation before funds are awarded, including but not limited to:

• Proof of enrollment or acceptance at an accredited college or university.

• Government-issued identification.

• Verification of academic standing or GPA.

• Any other documentation reasonably requested to confirm eligibility.

  
  

Failure to provide requested documentation within the specified timeframe may result in forfeiture of the scholarship award.

Scholarship funds will be distributed in accordance with Soul Street's scholarship policies and may be paid directly to the recipient's accredited educational institution or directly to the recipient, at Soul Street's discretion and in compliance with applicable laws and institutional policies.

Soul Street reserves the right to modify, suspend, postpone, or terminate the scholarship program, award amounts, eligibility requirements, application deadlines, or selection criteria at any time due to funding availability, unforeseen circumstances, or organizational needs. Any such changes will not affect scholarships that have already been formally awarded unless required by law or institutional policies.

Applicants understand that Soul Street has committed a total of $20,000 in scholarship funding to be awarded over four academic years. Scholarship amounts, the number of recipients selected each year, and the timing of awards are determined solely by Soul Street and may vary annually.

All personal information collected during the application process will be used solely for purposes related to the administration of the scholarship program unless otherwise authorized by the applicant. Soul Street will make reasonable efforts to protect applicants' personal information and will not knowingly sell or disclose personal information to third parties except as necessary to administer the scholarship program or as required by law.

By participating in the scholarship program, applicants release and hold harmless Soul Street, its founders, employees, volunteers, sponsors, affiliates, partners, scholarship committee members, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to the scholarship application process, scholarship selection decisions, or the receipt or use of scholarship funds.

Participation in the Soul Street Scholarship Program constitutes the applicant's full acceptance of these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with any scholarship requirements or requests made by Soul Street may result in disqualification or the withdrawal of a scholarship award.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from or relating to the scholarship program shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of California.

By submitting an application, the applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by all terms and conditions of the Soul Street Scholarship Program.
